Praise for the camera-less phone.

In a previous post i declared;

"One thing i have found the chilleans have mastered above all things is the chat up."

I would like to retract that statement.

On the metro today i was forced to stand next to a guy sitting on the floor. He very quickly got his phone out of his pocket and turned it upside down.
Strange behaviour i thought and looked away.

And strange it was.

A quick glance back clarified that he was indeed taking 'secret' and 'subtle' photos of me which he then checked, deleted as and when was necessary and then resumed snapping.
Ensuring i held my skirt extremely tight for fear of a 'panties shot' i pushed my way to another spot of the train where i would be out of paparazzi danger.

And i was.

Though this did not prevent a rather woeful glance from said man, nor the avid stare from my new neighbour which, for the next 15 minutes, did not leave my legs.

Who knows how to say "Fuck off you disgusting pervert" in spanish?

NEWS OF THE WEEK.

Anna Nicole Smith: The Opera

"It is not going to be a horrible, sleazy evening," Elaine Padmore, Covent Garden's director of opera told the Guardian. "It is not going to be tawdry; it is going to be witty, clever, thoughtful and sad.
Clearly the story is about a woman who met an ancient gentleman in a wheelchair
There will be no shortage of dramatic material. Smith, born Vickie Lynn Hogan in 1967, dropped out of her Texan high school, married a fellow worker at Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken - and then transformed herself, via a breast enhancement, into a glamour model and pole dancer.
She married J Howard Marshall when he was 89, and she 26. After his death she pursued what she argued was her share of her inheritance through the courts, fought by her late husband's son. She briefly became the (anti)heroine of her own reality TV show; her weight ballooned and she received liposuction. Three days after the birth of her daughter, of no certain father, her 20-year-old son by her first marriage died; five months later, in 2007, she was dead herself.

Nova

The Weekend

So this weekend, Lulo came to town.

Only a week after i went to ViƱa to visit her she was back in my arms and ready to roll.

After hearing SO much about the brilliance of Santiago's sushi, i met the girls and boys at Niu Sushi in Providencia for lunch after work on Friday.
Alas i experienced an XTREME case of toomuchriceandavacadoandsalmon-itis and yet still managed to join Philly in showing Lulo the sights.
AKA. My favourite Vintage shops.

But all that walking and sushi eating is hot, hard work.

Queue, Amanda's roof top pool.

9am. WAKE UP.
9.15am GET IN TAXI
10.30am GET ON HORSE

A whole day of riding in the Andes with Philly, Lulo and the gang lead to one extremely sore ass.
We rode up the mountain and back down to have lunch and swim in the river and then dawdle our back to camp.
Easy Peasy.

After feeling somewhat hungover on the Sunday due to the copious amounts of Champagne, Pisco Sours and red wine from the night before at dinner the following piece of genius WAS. BORN.

Welcome one and all to LoDaCrap.
