BOYCOTT H&M
Ok. So H&M tried to arrest me yesterday.
Thanks, H&M, thanks alot for applying your well honed crime fighting skills to force a small english girl into a small back room while you dialed for the police to tell them i had stolen a black top worth only 4 euros that i HAD THE RECEIPT FOR!!!
Seriously, if i was going to steal something i probably wouldnt choose the most dull and cheap thing in the shop, i probably wouldnt have come and found the secutiy gaurd when the alarm went off, and i probably wouldnt have...i dunno...GONE TO THE CHECKOUT AND GIVEN THEM MONEY IN EXCHANGE FOR THE TOP IN QUESTION!
Screw you H&M.
You've just lost yourself one EXTREMELY valuable customer.

Quote of the day
Karen Walker- "You're 20 and living in Paris, darling. Just take some pills and drink some alcohol!"
5 days of fun.
Paris was getting a lil chilly without a certain someone to keep me cosy, so Lil ol' Philly came this week to enjoy the tasty delights of Pareee! and what could be more cultural and chic than Disney Land.
That's right. Daisy went to meet Donald Duck at long last. However, i was cruelly shunned and denied my dream kodak moment. It was fairly brutal. But atleast he didnt slap me with his oversized 'wing' as he waddled off as he did to a nearby small french child.
Seriously.
Im not joking.
Donald got dirty.
After some much needed vintage shopping, macaroons, eating at 'HD Diner' off rue des archives TWICE, spotting Keira Knightley once and checking out some casual grèves Philly had to choo choo his way back to Monty-p......
But not before we spent an evening mixing with the 50s wannabe's of Paris at an Electro- Swing night at Le Bal.
Needless to say it didnt take too much to get me practising my swing moves on the dancefloor.....
Alas, i woke up the next day to a runny nose, cough and general demeanor that didnt exactly scream 'health'. Once again i have a cold, so the whole of Sunday poor Philly was forced to stay at home with me while i blew my way through almost a whole box of tissues and watched Fantastic Mr. Fox in bed- definately the best way to spend your Halloween......Oh and i can't afford any more medicine because i had to pay my rent. Nice.
Still waiting on Hard Rock to find out about my last interview with the manager's manager (since when did a manager have a manager?). It sounds like they may want me to be working weekends which unfortunately means i may have to miss out on Barcelona in 2 weeks for Blaisey's birthday :(.
Hopefully my 'calming presence and lovely smile' (they're words, not mine) will be enough to convince them id be better as a monday, wednesday, thursday kinda girl. We'll see.

la vie en grève
It is 9.44am and i am awoken to- not the busy traffic outside or the possible light streaming through my windows, but the sound of hundreds of angry French voices marching down my street, horns blowing, fists in the air. That's right folks. Its grève season.
The 6ème grève since i arrived.
In other news....
I am now no longer working at MC.
It just seemed pointless sitting at a computer all day doing nothing when my main reason for being here is to speak French and having the internship, the extra lessons, the 30 page dissertation, 2 exams, 4 smaller essays and 6 oral presentations as well as the 2 translations and 1 big essay for Kings i have to do was just turning out to be too much.
Surprise, surprise.
...........So, im carrying on with the extra lessons, quitting MC and the dissertation and looking for a job in a bar or restaurant. :)
Much better.
So for now its bye bye fashion, hello food!
........but just for now.
